As someone who’s completed an Outward Bound Canada journey, you can count yourself among those who have challenged themselves to push beyond their limits. We hope that these transformational experiences will provide memories and connections that will last a lifetime.
The journey doesn’t finish at the end of your course; as a Bounder, we’d love for you to stay connected and involved with the Outward Bound community.
In 2019, we’re marking half a century of life-changing adventure, with over 150,000 individuals served. We’re celebrating with a series of events and expeditions, and other opportunities to reconnect and embark on new journeys together.
Join Outward Bound Canada and fellow alumni for a free screening of this gripping film!
From award-winning documentary filmmaker E. Chai Vasarhelyi (“MERU”) and world-renowned photographer and mountaineer Jimmy Chin comes National Geographic Documentary Film’s Free Solo, a stunning, intimate and unflinching portrait of the free soloist climber Alex Honnold, as he prepares to achieve his lifelong dream: climbing the face of the world’s most famous rock — the 3,000ft El Capitan in Yosemite National Park — without a rope.
Monday, May 13, 7 pm at Cineplex Odeon International Village Cinemas, 88 West Pender Street.
Thank you to Free Solo’s distributor, Mongrel Media, for making this screening possible.

In recognition of our 50th anniversary, we've launched our Bound for Greatness campaign to support the future of Outward Bound Canada in helping lower barriers to access and ensure our life-changing programs are there for those who need them most.
As an alumnus, you know firsthand the powerful impact of participating in an Outward Bound course. Donate or fundraise on behalf of Outward Bound Canada to help us lower barriers to access these courses for underserved youth, Indigenous youth and adults, women survivors of abuse and military veterans.
